Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director who is most well-known as the main character of Birdman. Keaton's versatile acting skills make him proficient in both comedy and dramatic. In his career, he has appeared in a variety of roles in romantic scenes and appeared in action thrillers. When he was in his teens the actor developed an appreciation in performing and acting. He then tried comedy stand-up when he was a teenager. Even though his comedy endeavors did not succeed but it laid the groundwork for his future acting career. As he was not able to become the actor of his dreams, he decided to work as a TV cameraman. It was at this station was where he discovered that it was his dream to be in front of cameras. He was then offered a television part, playing many shows of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He was a natural actor, and quickly became a household name on the television. When he began his film career his aspirations were high and gained acclaim for his comic-book roles. The actor gained more fame in the role of Batman, the titular superhero in Tim Burton's Batman. In his later years, as a mature actor He also started to move into producing and directing. He won numerous nominations and awards for his performance in the 2014 film Birdman.
